Royal Rajasthan with Taj

Day 01: Arrive Delhi                
A traditional welcome upon arrival at Delhi International airport by our company’s representative and transferred to your hotel for 02 nights stay

Day 02: Delhi City Tour
After breakfast, proceed for a guided city tour of Delhi. Your tour starts from old Delhi, visiting Jama Masjid the biggest mosque of the country; enjoy Rickshaw ride through narrow streets of Chandni Chowk one of the busiest market; photo stop at Red Fort one of the great example of Mughal architecture; India Gate, a war memorial site; Drive pass Parliament, President house and Government buildings built during the British Raj.

Then visit Humayun’s Tomb the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun built by Hamida Banu Bedum in memory of her husband Humayun’s in 1569-70, and designed by a Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas. Also visit Qutab Minar a world heritage site was commenced to build in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak, but could only finish the basement. Later his successor Iltutmish added three more storeys and Firoz Shah Tughlak built the fifth and the last storey.

Day 03: Delhi to Agra (200 kms / 3.5 hrs)                 
After breakfast, embark on your drive to Agra the city of Taj Mahal (one of the Seven Wonders of the World). Arrive Agra and check into your hotel for a night stay.

Later after freshen up, your tour guide will be happy to explain about the historical monuments including one of the seven wonders of the world Taj Mahal built by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his loving wife Mumtaj Mahal as her memory and spent his whole life seeing Taj Mahal from the fort where he was imprisoned.

Also visit the historical Agra fort a UNESCO World Heritage site and a great example of Mughal architecture - since Babur defeated and killed Ibrahim Lodhi in Panipat battle, Agra played an important role of Mughal Empire. Akbar decided to built a city along the Yamuna River for his capital and started to build a strong fortress for their Army Shelter and later added few Palaces for their residential purpose.  

Day 04: Agra – Jaipur (245 kms / 5 hrs)                 
After breakfast, embark on your drive towards to Pink city Jaipur founded in 1727 by the great astronomer Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and designed by the Vidyadhar Bhattacharya architect.

En-route to Jaipur visit Abhaneri Stepwell -  a detour is well justified for such an amazing stepwell (baoris) and the ancient temple of Harshat Mata. The original name of this village was Abha Nagri and was established by King Chand who ruled over the Gjjar kingdom in the ninth century AD.

Later continue your drive to colourful capital of Rajasthan, upon arrival check into your hotel for 02 nights stay.

Day 05: Jaipur                
After breakfast, embark on your short drive to Amber where you will enjoy an exciting elephant ride to ascend a top of the fort. Amber fort is one of the major examples of Hindu and Muslim architecture built in 16th century.   Then drive down to Pink city Jaipur via enjoying a photo stop at Jal Mahal (Palace in the middle of lake) to take some of the excellent picture along with the beautiful Jal Mahal.

Later in the afternoon visit the rest of the attractions of Jaipur including the Royal City Palace Complex with the various museums to see the beautiful collection of Royal Rajput, weapons and miniature paintings. Then visit the fascinating Jantar Mantar (Observatory), the largest stone observatory in the world built by Maharaja of Jaipur. Also visit Hawa Mahal {Palace of Winds}, an extraordinary five storied building built by Maharaja of Jaipur for the Royal ladies to see the daily activities.

Rest of the day at leisure to discover many facets of Jaipuri crafts such as pottery, Precious and semi-precious jewels, mirror decorated colourful embroidered fabrics, woven carpets and much more – see artistes at work and if interested one can have souvenir shopping for their loved ones.
 
Day 06: Jaipur – Deogarh (285 kms / 5 hrs)  
After breakfast, embark on your drive towards to Deogarh Deogarh Mahal an imposing palace boasting a commanding view of Aravalli hills, lakes and beautiful countryside. You will love to appreciate of its gray battlements, jharokhas, turrets, domes and huge gateways. Since beginning it has has been a cultural hub for numerous village activities and has remained an important ambassador of economy and heritage of the Mewar region.

Upon arrival check into your Palace / Heritage hotel for a night stay. (you may enjoy the following optional activities at the additional charges from your hotel directly).

Day 07: Deogarh – Udaipur (135 kms / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, allow us to customize an unforgettable excursion into the tiny villages surrounding a magnificent palace hotel where you can witness and experience daily life in rural India and imbibe some of the charm and quaintness of an older, slower way of life, off-the-beaten path in Rajasthan.

Later, embark on your short drive towards to the city of beautiful tranquil water lakes and the city of Dawn Udaipur which is blessed with Natural beauty

Day 08: Udaipur                 
After breakfast, enjoy city tour of Udaipur covering the Royal City Palace complex built over a period of approximately 400 years being contributed by several Maharana’s (Maharaja’s) of Mewar kingdom. The majesty of City Palace begins right from its entry at the northern Tripoli Gate that carries us to the middle patio, the most excellent place to sight the facade of filigreed terrace & elaborated cupola – topped loom. We will also see Sahelion ki Bari well known as the – Garden of Maids of Honour which has decorative backyard constructed by Maharana Sangram Singh for his daughter & the women’s of the Queen"s patio and decorated with a number of spouts, swimming pool and chiselled pavilions.
 
When we exit from the city Palace, will visit the Indo – Aryan Jagdish Temple, one of the main and the most gorgeous shrines of Udaipur with notable sculpted descriptions built in 1651 AD by Maharana Jagat Singh

Evening by sunset, enjoy a refreshing boat ride on Lake Picholas and will appreciate the surrounding beauty of the city including the magnificent Jagmandir and Lake Palace and City Palace etc.

Day 09: Udaipur – Jodhpur, via Ranakpur (285 kms / 6 hrs)    
This morning after breakfast, embark on your drive towards to the second largest city of Rajasthan which is widely known as the blue city due to indigo tinge of the white washed houses around the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort.  

En-route to Jodhpur visit Jain Temples of Ranakpur famous for marvellously carved in amber stone. Ranakpur is one of the five holy places of Jain community created by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century AD. Later continue your drive to Jodhpur, upon arrival check into your hotel for a night stay.

Day 10: Jodhpur – Pushkar (190 kms / 3.5 hrs)
After early breakfast, proceed for a guided city tour of blue city Jodhpur visiting Mehrangarh Fort, situated at a peak of 125m elevated mount. The fort is sheltering the museum with superb compilation of palanquins, imperial cribs, Elephant encumber, outfits and furnishings. Also visit Jaswant Thada, a beautiful white marble monument built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1899 in memory of his fater Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.

Later in the afternoon, embark on your scenic drive to Pushkar which is widely known as the only temple of Lord Brahmma in the world. Pushkar has a rich cultural significance and widely known for its annual cattle fair which allure thousands of visitors from across the world every year.

Day 11: Pushkar – Samode (175 kms / 3.5 hrs)  
This morning, visit the only Temple of Lord Brahma temple (Creature of universe) and Pushkar lake, people comes here from every corner of the country and the world to take a holy dip.

Later in the afternoon, embark on your drive towards to Samode Village which is spectacularly set among rugged Aravali hills. Upon arrival check into your hotel for a night stay.

Later in the evening one can enjoy camel ride through Samode’s alley and discover true rapture as your eyes begin to wander, lower your eyes and there lies a grand assortment of colourful artefacts; see the mans in colorful turban’s and women’s in colourful skirts walking around your with a smile like a friend.

Day 12: Samode – Delhi Airport (250 kms / 6 hrs)
After breakfast, proceed for a half day village meeting with the locals, share the patterns of their daily life and be introduced to Samode"s crafts and craftspeople or may also choose to visit outskirts of Samode, where the rural lifestyle includes agriculture and cattle rearing…

Later in the afternoon, embark on your drive to Delhi International airport to catch your flight to fly back home with a sweet memory of colourful Rajasthan…
