Cultural India with Nepal

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Tonight, you will be transferred from Delhi International airport to your chosen hotel for 02 nights stay after a traditional welcome upon arrival.

Day 02: Delhi
Morning after breakfast, enjoy city tour of Delhi covering Jama Masjid the largest mosque of India; Chandni Chowk  one of the oldest and busiest market; photo stop at Red Fort one of the great example of Mughal architecture; India Gate, a war memorial site; Drive pass Parliament, President house and Government buildings built during the British Raj.

Later in the afternoon drive through the beautiful diplomatic area towards to Qutab Minar a world heritage site was commenced to build in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak, but could only finish the basement. Later his successor Iltutmish added three more storeys and Firoz Shah Tughlak built the fifth and the last storey.
Day 03: Delhi > Jaipur (260 Kms  / 06 hrs)
This morning, embark on your drive Jaipur founded by one of the greatest rulers of Kachhawaha clan and the astronomer king Sawai Jai Singh. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and widely known as Pink City because of the old town painted in Pink color.
Upon arrival check in at your hotel for a night stay. Later after freshen up you may choose to enjoy traditional dinner with Rajasthani folk dance at Chowki Dhani - an ethnic village Resort located at a distance of 30 kms from Jaipur town. Rajasthani village atmosphere is recreated on the sprawling ground including the entertainment by folk dancers & musicians and much more to experience.

Day 04: Jaipur  
After breakfast, begin your guided city tour of Jaipur with an exciting elephant ride to reach a top of the fort (local jeeps also available for those who doesn’t want elephant ride). Amber fort is an excellent instance of Hindu and Muslim architecture built in 16th century.   

Then, drive back to have a glimpse of Pink City Jaipur visiting City Palace complex with numerous collection of Royal Rajput, textile, weapons and miniature painting museums. Also see the largest stone observatory Jantar Manter built by Maharaja of Jaipur. Evening enjoy visiting Hawa Mahal the landmark of Pink city Jaipur built by the Maharaja of Jaipur for the Royal ladies to see the daily activities.
Day 05: Jaipur > Agra, via Fatehpur Sikri (245 Kms / 5 hrs)  
Morning after breakfast, embark on your drive towards to Agra the city of Taj Mahal.

Upon arrival check into your hotel for a night stay. Later enjoy Agra city tour with your experienced tour guide visiting one of the wonders of the world TAJ MAHAL built by the great Mughal emperor Shah-Jehan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal.

Also visit the historical Agra fort built by the Mughals for their military shelter and later decided to build few more buildings and Palaces for their residential purpose.
Day 06: Agra > Jhansi (By Train) / Khajuraho (185 Kms / 4 hrs)
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Agra Railway station to catch your train (Shatabdi Express # Dep. 0812 hrs / Arr. 1042 hrs) to Jhansi.
Arrive Jhansi and embark on your drive to Orchha – a medieval riverside town well-known for its temples and palaces. Then continue your drive towards to famous for its erotic sculptured temples

Day 07: Khajuraho > Varanasi (by flight)
After breakfast, proceed for a guided city tour of Khajuraho a famous tourist and archaeological site known for its sculptured temples dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, and Jain patriarchs built by the Chandela’s between 950 AD to 1050 AD.
Later in the after you will be transferred to Khajuraho airport to catch your flight to the spiritual capital of the country Varanasi which is also known as Benaras and Kashi
Upon arrival at Varanasi airport you will be transferred to your chosen hotel for 02 nights stay. Later in the evening enjoy the “Grand Aarti” ceremony at Dasaswamedh Ghat, conducted by white-robed priests every day. All young priests sway in seemingly choreographed movements, worshiping the river goddess Ganges with fresh flowers, earthen lamps and incense.    
Day 08: Varanasi
Early morning by sunrise enjoy boat ride on the Holy River Ganges to see the “bathing ghats” where thousands of pilgrims pay homage to the Sun God by dipping themselves in the holy water of Ganges River and the ‘burning ghats’ where cremations are conducted.
Post breakfast visit the various temples of the city covering the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Bharat Mata temple houses where you will see a huge relief map of whole Indian subcontinent instead of gods and goddesses; The Tulsi Manas Temple – dedicated to Lord Rama built in 1964; Banaras Hindu University and Monkey Temple etc
Later in the afternoon visit Sarnath, the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after enlightenment. Sarnath was a well-known school of learning from 6th century BC to 12th century AD. Visit several stupa’s, the ruin, Buddhist temple and Sarnath Museum etc.
Day 09: Varanasi > Kathmandu (by flight)
This morning, you will be transferred to Varanasi airport to catch your flight to Kathmandu - the cosmopolitan city and the main gateway to visit Nepal.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your chosen hotel for 03 nights stay. Rest of the day at leisure to acclimate yourself with cool weather of Kathmandu
Day 10: Kathmandu
After breakfast, proceed for a guided sightseeing covering Durbar Square - the spiritual heart of Kathmandu. Temples and other important buildings surrounded the old royal palace at the center of the city. This is the most important sight of Kathmandu to observe the culture and religion of this beautiful country.
Later in the afternoon visit, Swayambhunath - the stupa at Swayambhunath the most important and oldest site of Buddhist worship in Nepal famous for the eyes of Buddha that seem to observing the world from all 4 directions. Also visit the temple city of Pashupatinath, dedicated to Lord Shiva and most famous in Nepal situated on the bank of Bagmati River.
Day 11: Kathmandu
This morning after breakfast, will start our guided sightseeing covering Boudhnath Stupa the largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture and rich in Buddhist symbolism located in the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu.
Then we drive to Patan Darbar square, situated in the center of Patan city, also known as Lalitpur, houses the residence of the former Patan royal family. Patan Square and its surroundings are good specimen of ancient Newari architecture. There are three main courtyards in the palace: Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk. Mul Chowk, the oldest one, is at the centre of Patan square.  

Also visit Bhaktapur, an assortment of pagoda and shikhara-style temples grouped around a fifty-five-window palace of brick and wood. The square is part of a charming valley as it highlights the idols of ancient kings perched on top of stone monoliths, the guardian deities looking out from their sanctuaries, the wood carvings in very place - struts, lintels, tympanums, gateways and windows - all seem to form a well-orchestrated symphony.
Day 12: Kathmandu > Delhi (by flight)
Today, you will be transferred to Kathmandu airport to catch your flight to Delhi where our representative will meet you upon arrival at the airport and will transfer to your chosen hotel for a night stay.

Day 13: Delhi (Departure)  
Today, you will be transferred to Delhi International airport to catch your flight to fly back home with sweet memory of your India and Nepal Tour
