Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Assistance on arrival at IGI Airport by our company’s representative and transferred to your pre-booked hotel for 02 nights stay
Day 02: Day in Delhi
After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour of Delhi covering Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Red fort, India Gate, Parliament and President House and will finish your day with a visit to Qutab Minar and colourful city bazaar etc.
Day 03: Delhi > Varanasi (by flight)
Assistance on departure at your hotel and transfer to airport to catch your flight to Varanasi one of the oldest living cities in the world which is also known as Benaras. Assistance on arrival at Varanasi airport and transfer to your hotel for 02 nights stay.
On the way to your hotel visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after enlightenment, visiting the ruins, various Stupa’s, Buddhist temple and Sarnath Museum etc.
Day 04: Day in Varanasi
Early morning enjoy boat ride on holy Ganges and see how this holy city comes alive along sunrise, see the “bathing Ghats” where many pilgrims pay homage to the rising “Sun God” by immersing themselves in the holy water of Ganges, also see the “burning ghats” where cremations are conducted.
Drive back to your hotel for breakfast, later visit the various temples of Holy City Varanasi covering Vishwanath Temple, Tulsi Masas Temple, Monkey Temple, Bharat Mata Temple and Banaras Hindu University etc.
Later in the evening enjoy The Grand Aarti ceremony conducted by a group of priests every evening at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Later drive back to your hotel for night stay.
Day 05: Varanasi > Bodhgaya (252 kms / 5 hrs)
After breakfast, leave for Bodhgaya a religious place of pilgrimage where Gautam Buddha attained supreme enlightenment.
Upon arrival check into your pre-booked hotel for 02 nights stay.
Day 06: Bodhgaya
After an early breakfast, proceed for city sightseeing visiting Mahabodhi Temple - a historical place from early age where Lord Buddha’s enlightenment took place, Bodhi Tree – a famous tree under which lord buddha meditated, the great Buddha Statue – one the tallest statue of Lord Buddha in the country.
Also visit the other temples / monasteries built by the peoples from different different countries.
Day 07: Bodhgaya > Patna, via Nalanda & Rajgir (135 kms / 4 hrs)
After breakfast, leave for Patna via visiting Nalanda and Rajgir…
Rajgir - the “abode of kings” one of the important religious place for Buddhist, Jains and Hindus. Throughout the Buddha era Rajgir was the capital of Magadha kingdom, ruled by King Bimbisara. Nalanda – the ancient university town of Bihar, goes back to the days of Buddha and Mahavira in the Sixth Century B.C
Later continue your drive towards to Patna, upon arrival check in to your pre-booked hotel for a night stay.
Day 08: Patna > Kushinagar, via Vaishali (230 Kms / 5 ½ hrs)
After breakfast leave for Kushinagar, where Buddha attained the state of Mahaparinirvana “salvation” at the age of 80 yrs.
En-route to Kushinagar visit Vishwa Shanti Stupa of Vaishali surrounded by mango and banana groves and rice field. Later continue your drive and check into your pre-booked hotel for a night stay.
Day 09: Kushinagar > Lumbini (162 Kms / 05 hrs)
After breakfast, visit Nirvana Temple, Nirvana Stupa, Mathakuar Shrine, Rambhar Stupa, Kushinagar Museum and the temples built by Chinese and Japanese peoples.
Later leave for Lumbini the birth place of Lord Buddha, upon arrival check into your pre-booked hotel for a night stay.
Day 10: Lumbini > Sravasti (225 kms / 05 hrs)
After breakfast, visit the Birth place on Lord Budhha, Ashoka Pillar, Maya Devi Temple etc. Later in the afternoon embark on your drive to Sravasti, where the Buddha performed his first miracle.
Upon arrival check into your pre-booked hotel for a night stay. Later visit Saheth and Saheth, Sobhanath Temple, Angulimala Caves and Stupa etc.
Day 11: Sravasti > Lucknow / Delhi (By Train)
After breakfast, leave through the beautiful countryside towards to Lucknow (165 kms / 4 hrs) to catch your super fast train Shatabdi Express (Dep. 1535 hrs / Arr. 2215 hrs) to Delhi.
Assistance upon arrival at New Delhi Railway Station and transferred to your pre-booked hotel for a night stay.
Day 12: Delhi (Departure)
Today, you will be transferred to Delhi International airport to catch your flight to fly back home with the sweet memory of Buddhist sites of India
